Two things made this product not receive 5 stars.
The product seemed like old stock as it had an outer clear wrap on the outside that was brittle and was difficult to remove. It was very stuck to the roll and came off in very tiny pieces. Once I was able to remove enough off to access the roll material itself, I had to cut off the portion that wrap was stuck to as it was a complete waste of time to try to remove.
Second fault was when using the item the burnishing tool ended up removing some of the red grid lines on the transfer tape which built up and ended up on the product I was applying the vinyl. The red was fairly easy to remove off my banner material, but that may not be the case for every type of material one transfers vinyl onto.
With all that said, overall I was happy with the use of the actual transfer tape itself. For my larger than mat project of transferring oracle 631 letters onto a large canvas banner, the transfer tape worked quite well with virtually no frustration. I was able to even reuse the tape 3 times before it began to lose its proper grip strength.
I'll be interested to see how well it works on smaller intricate transfers onto various types of material; however, for this project, I would recommend it.
